In much of the United States horses are a pleasant hobby item, usually for showing, riding, rodeo or racing. Not in Rock River Radio country. A good ranch horse is still an invaluable tool. Hobby horses or even competition rodeo horses are usually graded on looks, speed or their ability to do one thing well. A ranch horse is graded a mix of ability, and trustworthiness. A good horse on the ranch is often referred to as an honest horse and a bad one as a counterfeit horse. An alley filled with half wild cows is not a good place for a horse to loose it’s mind.
